Every time I'm in Arizona I make sure I eat here at least once. Real authentic Mexican food. And the service is excellent.

The Pozole QueenI had pozole in Mexico City, Acapulco, Juarez, Nogales Mexico, Hermosillo, Ensenada, Tijuana (watered down) and Los Angeles. This is the best Pozole I ever had. The corn tortillas were hand made and fabulous. I will come back again for the Pozole and I can't wait to try other dishes.Thank you for your delicious food

Had craving for birria and found this little restaurant. Hospitality was nice, food was great with soft corn tortillas home-made type. It gets full and not a lot of parking though.

They my people, so in the spirit of brotherhood and because I simply enjoy REAL Mexican food most they get a pass. I need this place to expand and remodel leaving out all American culture though.

The ambiance and food were excellent.Parking was a little tight right up against the restaurant but ample on the side facing the fast food place next door. I like that there was a good variety. Other members of my party could have ordered an American meal if they felt less adventurous, but they didn't, we got ALL Mexican dishes.Most interesting was the baked cactus leaf. It was tangy and very much like a pickle without the crunch. The fish tacos were excellent and made with seasoned baked fish, very nice. He musicians came to each table to ask if we wanted a song. Any thing more than $5 is too high, but they're artists, so we paid and they sang a lovely song. It may have been for the holiday, but maybe they perform regularly?Will stop here again before we leave.

Love. This. Place. The Mocajete a la Mexicana is to die for. So many flavors simmering in one bowl. Also, one of the few places to get authentic napales (cactus) in the valley. I would rank the dish as the best in Phoenix. It would be easy to miss this unassuming restaurant as you drive down McDowell, but it is truly a must-have experience.

We love this place, it is well worth our 40 minute drive to come and get such wonderful food. The chili relleno combo plates are our favorite! Always clean and the staff is so friendly!

Ive had authentic food from Mexico and this is probably the closest to it you can find in Arizona. Always recommend el Molcajate Mexicana or the seafood molcajate! The corn tortillas are handmade and amazing! Just expect for server to take a minute to bring you the check. Usually always happens, but food is definitely worth is and service is still great!

This is small restaurant with food that is big on flavor. Service staff were friendly and welcoming. Our food arrived hot and mine sizzling because I ordered the Pork Carnitas fajitas. Since most of us eat first with our eyes the food presentation was so on point that I had sternly stop everyone from eating so I could take pictures. My family loved the homemade hot chocolate and the agua frescas were to everyone's liking also. Make sure you are ready to eat when you dine here because the main dish is on the large size with addition of rice and beans. Overall great food with flavor to match.

Been frequenting this place for a while now. Servers are pleasant. Food is great. Carnitas plate one of my favorites. Get the corn tortillas with it since they are homemade. Highly recommend it. Only problem I have ever had is that it can get busy and is not a large place so could have to wait for a table possibly on the weekends.

I love this place. Food is delicious. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they need additional personnel. Busy hours takes a long time.

Amazingly impressed as soon as I walked in the door! Great smell of delicious food in the air the most attentive service and hosting hosting! My waitress was a doll! And made me feel right at home! The food- I ordered a fajita mix ya with shrimp and steak “freaking amazing great taste” wife ordered caldo de Cameron “OMG” I was all over it aswell lol! Finished off with a homemade churro para el Camino home! Adding this place to my life long places to dine! Thank you guys!

The best Mexican food . Great flavor

Loved the Birria De Chivo! Staff was super friendly and restaurant atmosphere was cheerful. Went there for lunch and found out their will serve Grilled Octopus for my dinner. I wish I could give an extra star. * just did ;-)

Truly the best Mexican restaurant in downtown Phoenix! The menu is large with a variety of options to choose from you really don’t know where to start. Very friendly staff, our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and didn’t hesitate to explain questions we had about certain dishes. OMG the FOOOOOD was to die for. We got the Birria, their house speciality with hand-made corn tortillas. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Will definitely be going back.
